Anchored by NBC Washington’s Jim Handly, mobile evangelists and experts socialized in style and applauded those creating connected change in their local communities.
The event was held at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and National Portrait Gallery on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
2016 Wireless Champion Award Honoree: Chairman House Energy and Commerce Committee Fred Upton was recognized for his long-standing support of public policies, from the Commercial Spectrum Enhancement Act to the broadcast incentive auction, which created a foundation that enabled America’s wireless industry to flourish.
2016 Mobile Life Award Honoree: U.S. House of Representatives Frank Pallone received the industry’s highest accolade for public service that promotes innovation in the way Americans use mobile services.
