Promoting Safe Communities and Families

Because wireless technology contains risks, especially for young people, The Wireless Foundation works to educate children, families and citizens about safety and responsibility. We’re helping develop solutions for distracted driving by raising awareness. We’re also teaming with the National Crime Prevention Council to produce the 2011-2012 Crime Prevention Month Kit: Young, Savvy, & Safe.

Wireless delivers an unprecedented benefit for security in neighborhoods all over the country. In addition to our safety programs and initiatives, we recognize this by honoring Samaritans who’ve used wireless to help others in heroic ways.
